Chanel Resort 2012

A short 5 months ago we welcomed in 2011, now we are welcoming the new Resort lines for 2012.  Bottega Veneta, Chanel, MaxMara, Oscar de la Renta, and Sportmax were the first to show their lines.  Resort wear is one of my favorite types of runway shows.  I love the care free, relaxed, chic, and elegant feeling of Resort wear, plus the fact that several of the pieces are very easy to wear.  Today I thought that I would write specifically about Chanel's Resort 2012.  As we all know when Karl Lagerfeld does a runway show, he does a serious fashion show with an emphasis on the show!  For his Resort wear or Cruise wear, Karl booked the whole Hotel du Cap in the French Riviera, flew in top models and made a line that lacked a flow but had several great single pieces.  Though his inspiration should have driven him to a more of a sensual feeling of clothing, a light and innocent feel is what viewers were given.  I can never complain though about a Chanel line no matter what.  Karl did what he does best and had great pieces that are going to be great sellers.  The runway show looked like so much fun to watch as guest and press sat at tables under large umbrellas.  It seemed like quite the event to be at.  Feel free to let me know what you think of the line, and do you like the shoes?  I love to read others opinions!
