High Waisted Jeans and Plastic Bertrand

I fail as a blogger this month and I apologize.  I love posting everyday and this month has seriously been horrible, but the good new is it is over.  After a month like January it can only get better, right?  To make it better I have been drowning myself in a sea of happy music.  I have become quite obsessed with a song by Plastic Bertrand called "Ca Plane Pour Moi."  The song came out in the late 70's and is a little punk, similar to stuff by The Ramones.  Today I went shopping and tried on high waisted jeans which I think I may go back and purchase because I do really like them.  Suddenly I am into 70's with a hint of 50's, an odd but good mix.
Just thought you should know, this is how I dance to this song, flailing arms and all.  His style is also quite great, love the jacket.

Elie Saab Spring Couture 2012

2 1/2 cups of coffee + a lack of sleep + a pile of patterns (to be drafted and perfected to be graded) +a pile of school books = My Weekend.  Stressful but I will manage to get through it all.  I hope everyone is having a great weekend and enjoying all of the fashion shows that keep popping on style.com.  The couture lines are beginning to come out, and they are nothing less than gorgeous.  Couture is my favorite type of fashion, as I feel it has the strongest statements and is very artistic in construction, concepts and inspiration.  One of my favorites so far has to be Elie Saab, who is a reoccurring favorite on my blog.  His designs are so elegant and can make any girl feel beautiful.  This recent couture line is filled with pastel flowing gowns with amazing details which give me goosebumps.  I get so excited for this stuff!  Gorgeous dresses overall and I expect to see several of them on the red carpet for the upcoming Academy Awards.  Almost all of these dresses are sheer, but just flow perfectly.  I am obsessed.

Sh*t Fashion Girls Say

I really hope I am not the only one who thinks this is funny and amusing.  This is part 2; part 1 is just as good.  I like the "I am just going to have a personality drink before we go."  I hope you all have a good night.

Garance Dore

I have another website to share with you all today.  I love finding websites and just overall surfing the web, there is so much to look at and discover on the internet.  Garance Dore is a french illustrator, who started her blog in 2006.  She publishes some of her illustrations and adds text to them, she also shoots editorials and makes videos.  She seems so down to earth through her blog and I really enjoy her honesty in her writing.  Though, her illustrations really caught my eye.  The site is all in french, but I gave you a link to the translated site.  I am learning french so it is fun to try and struggle through the french version.
-This picture below is by far my favorite of them all.

Cinemagraphs.com

I love beautiful things, and who doesn't?  I really love when artists (of any kind) take an everyday thing (which several of us take for granted) and make it into something special and something which can be admired.  This site cinemagraphs.com takes pictures that move.  They capture a beautiful moment instead of a photo.  It is like the moving Pictures in Harry Potter, I guess that is the best way to describe it.  The pictures are gorgeous and just seem so special because you are so focused on the one thing that is moving.  I cannot stop looking at these photos.  You have to check out the site to get the full effect of the photos, and I promise you will not regret it!  Have a lovely and beautiful day.

Temporary Tattoos: Tattly.com

I got off of work today only to come home to do hours of homework, which in turn has become a long session of listening to eclectic music, daydreaming and writing a poetry paper (which I hate)and it is turning out to be too many words.  I do not mind, as papers are easier to shorten then make longer.
Anyway, I am not a fan of tattoos.  I do love temporary tattoos, not that I actually wear them.  I always used to when I was young.  I would not mind wearing these fabulous temporary tat's from tattly.com.  Super cute and they are not permanent.

Salt-N-Pepa "Push it" Style and Video

Wow, I have been quite busy this past week.  Last night I drove about an hour away to visit my sister and celebrate her birthday.  I had so much fun, and it was so nice to get out and have fun especially with how crappy these past weeks have been.  We ended up going to a club to dance.  The club had video screens where they would play music videos to the song that was being played.  The videos that I liked the most were the 80's videos, more specifically Salt-n-Pepa "Push it".  There urban style and awesome dance moves are just perfect.  I really love the red boots, black body suit, oversized letter jackets and the gold chains; 1980s perfection!

How to get the look...
-Leggings- American Apparel

-Bodysuit- American Apparel

-Shoes- Doc Martens if you want a bit of edge to the look.

-Love these shoes below, I think they are the best for the look. (.supratk-society.com)

Jason Wu for Target

I am so excited for Jason Wu for Target; even if I will not be able to get any of it because it will probably be sold out.  I love when stores do collaborations especially with the major designers; I think this is a great way for people to enjoy designs by major designers for an affordable price.  Jason Wu is becoming well known for designing clothes for Michelle Obama and rightfully so.  His designs are simple, classy and perfect clothes for girls.  He keeps women's curves in mind, especially in this line.  He has a great vision and execution.  His line for Target was inspired by the idea of an American girl going to France.  Got to love it!
