Classic Gwen and what I have been up to...

If you have not noticed by the lack of recent post, I have gotten a second job.  This has filled quite a bit of my time.  It is in fashion retail and absolutely amazing.  I am happy to finally have a job that is in my field of business.  I have not forgotten about my blog rather, I have some fun posts that I am working on.  So stay tuned...
Other than that, enjoy some classic Gwen.  She can really do not wrong.  I love her classic trench with a modern twist.  She is always able to perfectly combine a vintage modern flair to her outfits.  Vintage by the hairstyle, lips, and doc martens, and modern by the trench and pants.

Jeremy Scott and New Era

We all know how much I love how eclectic or even eccentric Jeremy Scott can be.  I find such inspiration and admiration for his designs and his wonderful mind which helps him to create these one of a kind pieces.  I am also a big fan of all of his collaborations with other designers, especially Nike.  Now he has created amazing one of a kind hats or actually they are called snapbacks.  I was unaware of this terminology.  I usually here those people who use the word "bro" or "brah" in regular conversation refer to the hats as "lids."  I however, am not a bro and refer to them as hats or now snapbacks.  Back to the point I was trying to make... Jeremy Scott has paired up with New Era to take a new approach to the snapback.  Instead of placing a sports team or making it sports colors, they include a snapback with a black shiny vinyl croc print, one with an ostrich skin finish, snake print, tassels, and a one representing a dollar bill.  What an odd mix, I love it!  Of course, the only down side is this line is meant for men, but hey I can still wear one....right?

For sure, they are some tubular lids brah.  I should never type that sentence again.

Wildfox Fall 2012 Fashion Movie

Wow, it seems like I just blink and all of a sudden it is five days after my last post.  I have been quite busy recently and will only be getting busier.  I have some new opportunities as I have recently gotten a new job.  I am quite excited because I will be working with fashion.  I am really happy but nervous all at the same time!  Other than getting a new job and keeping myself updated on fashion week, I have enjoyed the Wildfox fall 2012 fashion movie.  It is a bit risque, but still modern and adorable.  You have to love all of their creative oversized t-shirts and under garments.  Nothing beats a good comfortable outfit.

Marc Jacobs Spring 2013 60's Vintage Vibe

My goodness, I have not posted in a few days.  I have been catching up on things and well honestly, working my butt off at my job.  I have also been sketching out a bunch of ideas for projects and a collection that I have wanted to create.  It is only in the earliest of all creation and design stages possible.  It seems I have so many ideas this week.  I have carried my sketchbook and little notebook around with me all week.  I think the inspiration of fashion week has traveled down the east coast to my mind.  What line is you favorite from fashion week this far?  I can never pick a favorite, but Marc Jacobs line is absolutely amazing and simple.  For Marc Jacobs I always expect something a little quirky, which I quite honestly love about him.  This line is incredibly simple in the cuts of the garments, yet the stripes in them are cut in a way to give several of them dimension and extra visual movement.  I love the very strong 60's vibe to the whole line.  Anything with a vintage flair catches my eye.  I like how though the line has vintage inspiration, it is still current and modern.  Of course, these pictures are from style.com, the main website I stay on to drool over pictures during fashion week.

Steve Madden Wedge Sneaker

If you know me, then you know I never really splurge.  I am a bit of a penny pincher or cheapskate.  I do not mean to be, but I always like to save.  If you have kept up on my blog recently, you may have noticed an abundance of posts about the gorgeous Isabel Marant Sneakers.  No, I did not buy a pair, but I did however purchase the Steve Madden pair.  Truth be told, no one can tell the difference, or where I live no one even knows there is an original to these.  I absolutely love them and even enjoy all of the really weird looks I get.  It is fantastic!  I will have more pictures to come.  These shoes have inspired me to begin thrifting for a few items I want, especially denim overalls cut into a skirt, so it is like a dress I should say.  I think that would look adorable with stockings for the cold weather that better be approaching!  Now, I just need a day of for thrifting.

Random Pictures

I have been up to quite a few things these past couple of days.  First of all, I found, tried on and possibly even wore these shoes around this cute little boutique after lunch with me Mum.  Yes, I admit, I am one of those customers who wears the stores merchandise around the store.  In my defense, you have to make sure you like the items before you purchase them.  I however, did not buy these because my feet were to wide for them.  I really do love them even though are extremely high.  These past few days I have been working for most of the day and have taken the most random pictures to share, so here ya go...
- I have to try to stop my coffee addiction because it makes me sick.  I guess green tea will have to do.
 -No make-up....yeah....
-My peach shirt I am finishing sewing.....more to come....
