My Weekend/ Fashion Week 2012 Rag & Bone
I hope everyone is having a great weekend. I am so excited to say I am off tomorrow, which is unheard of on a Sunday at my job. I have not been off on a Sunday since a very long time. I plan to drink coffee, cuddle with my dog, finish homework, and live tonight and tomorrow to the fullest. What are your plans?
As for fashion week this fall 2012 is offering up beige or even dark golden beiges, red, dark blue-greens, and blacks mixed with beige, greens and reds. Several of the lines have structured line in an almost thin striped color block, which forms squares or just simple diagonal lines. Many lines also have a lace printed fabric, or lace itself. While this season seems a bit subdued in styling and some designs from just a short look, yet bold prints add some flair to the lines. I have to admit I am not that impressed with any one line just yet. I hope some flavor comes to this seasons slightly lack luster colors and structure. Here are some pictures from the Rag & Bone line which has the most pizazz. For the best up to date coverage go to style.com.
-I got a head start on the cuddling with my doggie earlier today.

Nadia Flower (Fashion Illustrations)
Nadia Flower is an incredibly talented artist. I found her website on the Urban Outfitters blog (of course) and absolutely fell in love with her creations. She reminds me a bit of Kime Buzzelli, who I posted about here. Kime Buzzelli is one of my favorite fashion illustrators, so it is no surprise that I have become quite the fan of Nadia Flower. Her website is nadiaflower.com, and is so inspiring to look at. You cannot purchase her prints yet, but you will be able to buy limited prints very soon on her website.

Lanvin SS12: Fashion Movie Ad Campaign
Lanvin fashion videos always make me want to dance and buy lots of Lanvin clothes. This song is so addicting and absolutely perfect for the clothing. I love the massive python clutch and I am not usually a fan of python fabric. Just a warning if you do not like snakes, you may not like this video. Enjoy!

Michelle Williams for Band of Outsiders
I love all of the Band of Outsiders photo shoots. I posted a photo shoot a while ago with Rupert Grint and Tom Felton and love the polaroid style to all of the photos. This time for the section "Boy," Michelle Williams was the designers muse. She is so beautiful and classy. I love the clothes, styling and simplicity of the old fashioned styled pictures. Their blog is very fun to look at with all of the stars that are featured on the site. Enjoy!

1970's Inspiration
Fashion week Fall 2012 is in 6 days or by the time you all read this, it will be a mere 5 days away. I am once again completely excited even if I am not going, it is still so much fun. I am also happy to say that the 70's are supposed to be in style for this coming fall. This makes me so happy considering I just bought high waisted denim jeans and I was worried the 70's were on their way out. I am excited to post about them, as I am quite in love and obsessed with them. Here is some 1970's inspiration!

Great Gatsby Sweatshirt punk.com
One of my favorite books, meets a comfy sweatshirt. Wonder if this would go with my new high waisted jeans. Yep, I bought them and I am a happy camper!

High Waisted Jeans and Plastic Bertrand
I fail as a blogger this month and I apologize. I love posting everyday and this month has seriously been horrible, but the good new is it is over. After a month like January it can only get better, right? To make it better I have been drowning myself in a sea of happy music. I have become quite obsessed with a song by Plastic Bertrand called "Ca Plane Pour Moi." The song came out in the late 70's and is a little punk, similar to stuff by The Ramones. Today I went shopping and tried on high waisted jeans which I think I may go back and purchase because I do really like them. Suddenly I am into 70's with a hint of 50's, an odd but good mix.
Just thought you should know, this is how I dance to this song, flailing arms and all. His style is also quite great, love the jacket.
