Usually, I do not like H&M and cannot find anything. The other week I walked in H&M and found so many things to put on my clothing wish-list! I am thinking I need to make a shopping trip for sure. I find it funny that they never have too cute of clothes online, but always have cute things at the actual H&M store near me. Here are a few cute things I found on their website though upon a quick browse. Of course I love all of their sunglasses.

Ksubi.com
I am quite disappointed in myself for having such a lack of posts recently. I am trying, but I am very busy. Today, however I found this site and had to share. Ksubi.com is a fun website which offers quite an assortment of things including all things denim along with dresses, sunglasses and footwear. I love the sites assortments of clothing and video on their W. A. R. line. I love fashion movies and videos! Their eyewear is spectacular. I love how innovative and creative they are. You know none of your friends will have these styles. Got to love it.

Playing with Muslin
Finally, my spring break has arrived. I am just so happy to have a break from school. Though, I do have homework which I am currently avoiding in order to have a true relaxing day off. I had a chance this afternoon to play with muslin. I am taking a draping class and just decided to see what I could come up with on my dress form. The result is unfinished, but I actually like the shape of this shirt. It is a little structured but not so much that it is stiff. It will have some flow depending on the fabric it is made with. For those of you who do not know what muslin is, it is a thin fabric that is used in draping, which is a process of creating a pattern. It is easy to work with, manipulate and definitely a key to success in the design process. Would you wear a shirt like this? Like I said it is roughly put together, but enough to get the idea.
-This is the front.
-The pleats are on the side and go to about the mid back. (Ignore all of the pins, and the badly cut shoulder seam.)

Kristin Stewart in Balenciaga
I really do like Balenciaga. There were a few seasons more recently that I was not to crazy about, but I do find there precise designs, construction and very structured designs refreshing. I found this picture of Kristin Stewart wearing Balenciaga to the Balenciaga fashion show as she is the new face of the label. She wears it well!

Zooey Deschanel
I love her style. She is so cute and simple; nothing like sticking to the basics in this cute ensemble. I like how her eyes match her dress too. I will have to post more later. I have an incredibly busy week.

Celapiu on Etsy (The Most Creative Knit Scarves)
I was surfing the web (as usual) and found this amazing Etsy site. Celapiu is a Polish knitwear label that specializes in winter accessories. I first saw the hip-hop knit chain scarf and fell in love! All of their creations are so much fun and creative. For these incredibly unique pieces, I think the prices are appropriate and completely worth it.

Jeremy Scott Fall 2009 (Button Bustier)
I know, I am posting from way back when. I recently saw an old picture of Leigh Lezark in this adorable button bustier and had to find who made it. Turns out that Jeremy Scott, one of my favorite designers made this for his fall 2009 collection. I really like how simple it is, but at the same time it must have been a pain to make and fit all of the buttons on so perfectly. I got the pictures at the bottom from Elle.com. I hope everyone is having a great weekend!

Kate Winslet in Jenny Packham
I absolutely fell in love with this dress when I first saw it. My obsession with it may have to do with the fact that it is so sparkly. It is a little low cut and would look just as good if the V was not so wide. Though, she looks so great. I will post more tomorrow, it has been the usual very busy week and I need sleep. Nighty Night!

Upcoming Project.....
Wow, I know I always say I am busy and it is really the truth. I wake up early in the morning to go to school and never fail to make it home really late, either from school or work. This semester at school I am taking a draping class. Overall, I like it even if it is pretty intense. One of our projects this semester is to make a garment (top and bottom) that has darts and several other requirements. Mine is a simple dress, with a deep V in the back and of course it has to be complimented with a massive bow. I am quite excited to make it, and am planning to do most of the work for it over spring break in two weeks. I just do not know about the color yet...... My sketch is below. The left is the back and right is the front.

Maddie on things.com
I realized that all of you fashionistas may need a break from all of the fashion week madness and maybe a look at something random and oddly inspiring, but adorable at the same time. I found this site on the nylon blog, and am completely amused. A dog named Maddie is photographed while standing on different objects. The dog is adorable and the pictures interesting, entertaining, odd and a bit funny. I love creative people and the things they bring to society. I hope you are entertained as I was.
