Cat Eye Eye-Liner

I put this crazy thick blackness on my lids before work the other day.  I thought it may have been a bit much, but I really like it.  I am planning on doing it again sometime soon.  Cat eye's are so 60's retro, and trendy, but I actually consider them a classic now.  Things become classic when they become a trend alot, honestly I forget how many times it has to go through the fashion cycle, possibly 15 times before it is a classic.  Do not quote me on that and correct me if you know what it really is.  Anyway, here is what my make-up looked like this past week.  I never realized my eyes are seriously different colors, crazy.

-I just did minimal make-up for the rest of my face.  I wanted the eye-liner to stand out and not make it complicated by adding lipstick.

Blake Lively

Still, I cannot believe Christmas is this weekend.  I am so excited!! Sorry for not posting for the past two or three days, I had very long shifts at work.  I am still wiped out.  For now I only have a short post before I watch the back of my eyelids for the night.  I am planning on posting pictures from Christmas baking and a make-up post.  I also have to post my new retro vintage earrings.  Can't wait.  Here is Blake Lively looking effortlessy chic and comfortable.  I am in love with her scarf.

Paper Crown

Christmas is this week.  Do you believe it?  It came so quick this year, it seems.  I love Christmas time and spending it with my family.  It is truly a magical season.  I am planning on wearing my final project from sewing class (a red dress) for church on Christmas Eve.  I can not wait to share it with all of you.  I also got a pair of vintage clip-on earrings, which made my ears swell a bit because I am allergic to the metal...but I absolutely love them!!!!  I will definitly post pictures coming up when my ears un-swell and return to looking swell.  I also forgot to mention that style.com had their first printed magazine on shelves in December.  I was at Barnes & Noble and looked through the amazing pages, though I could not justify spending the $14.99 for it, it was a really great magazine.  With a site like style.com, I would expect nothing less.  Speaking of good websites, here is a site that I just stumbled upon called paper-crown.com.  I love the clothes, they are simple but elegant and cute.  I found some pictures from the holiday 2011 lookbook.  Enjoy!
I really like this floral fabric below.  The photography is beautiful along with the styling and over all design of the garments.

Shoes from the Future....

Well, I am getting ready to head to bed after a day at work only to prepare for a few more long days at work.  I am just looking so forward for Christmas, I can not believe it is almost here.  For now I only have a short post about these amazing shoes.  You all know how I love shoes.  These sneakers, are metallic and just amazing.  They look like they are from the future, though they are $608 at Net-A-Porter, expensive but...amazing!

Prada Fall 2011

This is technically old news in the fashion world, but I thought since we are still living in fall 2011, I would bring it up.  I was browsing my Harpers Bazaar Runway Edition and found these shoes from Prada.  I kept looking at them until I concluded they were boots.  I really like the design.  The oddly shaped heel, and the python or suede that looks like stockings, with a shoe shaped like a mary-jane, but it is in fact a boot.  At first I did not like them, as I am not a big fan of python, but I do now.  What do you think of them?  Like them, or hate them?  I also loved some of the clutches and how the models were holding them, so I had to include some pictures of that.  The pictures are from style.com.

Emma Roberts in Miu Miu

I have been so into bronze and gold colors lately.  I love this dress by Miu Miu, I think it is so cute, fun and playful.  The color and styling are both perfect.  I really like the way it fits her too!

Dresses I Should Start To Wear....

I realized recently that I do not wear a lot of dresses.  I have loved dresses for my whole life, and when I was young I vowed when I grew up and could make my own fashion decisions that I would wear a dress everyday of my life.  This has yet to happen.  In fact, I hardly wear dresses.  I wear jeans all the time because they are just easy to match, and they are comfy.  This Christmas season, I am now vowing to get a dress or two to dress up my wardrobe.  Dresses are so easy to style; you can wear it with a belt, a scarf or a necklace and mix and match shoes, like heels or boots.  Why don't I wear more dresses?  I found some very cute dresses at Forever 21 online.  They are simple one colored dresses that can be worn with sweaters and coats even stockings to winterize them.  How simple.

This dres below is only $12.50.  Yes, I am serious!

Ear Warmer Headbands

I really like these ear warmer headbands.  I do not know exactly what they are called, but I think they are so cute and stylish.  Now only if it were actually cold out, cold enough for a jacket and ear muffs, I would be a happy girl.  The simple design is very nice, which gets me to thinking, is this a possible diy project?  I would think so.  I will have to see what I can come up with.  For now, enjoy these ear warmers from Urban Outfitters!

This one below is my favorite!

Pippa Middleton

I have just a short post today.  Pippa has such a simple cute style.  I absolutely love this coat, something about the collar is just so chic.  I have no idea who makes it though.  If you know, let me know!

Gold Eyes

The other day I posted a picture of a girl with incredibly gold eyeliner.  I wanted to do something similar, but could not get my gold as gold as her gold.  (Read that sentence 10 times fast.)  I did however get something gold and soft.  I really liked the way that it turned out.  For my top lid I used a bit of a darker gold and a lighter gold under my eye, I also added a little white glitter power to the inner part of my eye to add some shine.  I realized later, I ended up with more of how Katy Perry did her make-up recently when she debuted her new hair.  I love her make-up and found a great picture on nylonmag.com, with the actual products.  I hope you enjoy.
This is how I wanted my make-up to look....
This is how my make-up turned out.....

This is what it kind of looks like....

ps.... I love the Raconteurs reference to "Steady as She Goes," it is a great song.  I love Jack White.
