Recess

This afternoon was busy and stressful but finally it is ending in relief.  I indeed have finished this semester at school and tomorrow is my first day of summer vacation.  This summer I plan to go to work full time, but also sew more.  I would love to do some diy projects, and of course make myself some much needed clothes.  I can not wait for the busy, yet always fun summer to begin.  I am promising myself at this moment to live it to the fullest!!  Whenever I think of summer, I always have flashbacks to one of my favorite shows on t.v. when I was little, Recess.  I loved their clothes and the adventures they had.  Believe it or not, looking back at their style from September 1997 (when the show first aired) it is now coming back in style.  Yes I know, I am posting about a cartoon, but inspiration comes from weird places.

Spinelli and Gretchen (the only girls) were my favorite.

I love Spinelli's boots, stockings and leather jacket.

I love Gretchen's round glasses, and ultra feminine dress with oxfords.

Oh childhood memories.  I promise to have more of a fashion related post tomorrow, a trip down memory lane just felt needed after a rough day.
