Summer

Customers strolled in today, thirsty and famished from the hot sun that caused it to be a toasty 98 degrees outside.  Many of them looked absolutely miserable, and I expected to feel the same.  Though as I climbed into my car when my shift was done, and looked at the current temperature in my car of 102 degrees, it oddly made me excited for summer.  Excited for those summer drives, ice cream, swimming, hopefully the beach, the summer sunsets, late nights of sewing and most of all no school.  I have to work, but still work seems to be alot more fun in the summer.  This afternoon, since I finally get the night to myself, I jumped in my car to go for a ride through town and get an ice cream cone; only to then arrive home and be surronded by lightning bugs, as my sister and I would call them when we were little.  Happy summer to me.  I can not wait for the rest of summer and I know I will do whatever in my power to live it to the fullest!

This is also a neighborhood I drove through that is still being built, hence the office trailer in the back.  I like this field especially because there is sometimes deer that run through it.

My Owl Accessories

Everyone has something that they collect; mine is owls.  I love owl accessories, shirt patterns and anything else that has owls.  Yesterday I bought a new owl necklace and thought that I would share pictures of my owl items.  What do you  collect?

Chloe Sevigny Fashion Show

I promised to keep you updated, so here it is!!  Chloe Sevigny had her fashion show on May 27.  Chloe's resort wear 2011 is a fun mixture of clothes that Chloe Sevigny herself would be found strolling the streets in.  The understated chic is something that I think several fashionistas will love, as the pieces are all very easy to wear.  The line also features looks that can be paired with heels or sneakers, it is such a mix of styles, which why I like this line so much.  What do you think of the line?  Plenty of pictures can also be found on style.com.

Michael Kors Ads

I made it home a few hours ago from my sisters home and then went straight to work.  It was such a nice little vacation and I am so happy that I had a chance to visit with her and my future brother in law!  On to fashion... Whenever I flip through magazine's I actually enjoy the ads.  My favorite is all of the Michael Kors ad campaigns every season.  Why, you ask?  He always seems to capture a powerful women, who looks as if she is on a mission with her fellow, (a.k.a. very attractive model man who holds her bags and follows her as she takes on the world).  The women are always chic and most of all confident.  I am always intrigued by how his ads really are worth 100 words.  The clothing of course is made by Michael Kors, and that just makes the ads even better.  

Tribal Fashion

Yesterday I went shopping with my sister because it is nearly impossible to have a girls weekend without shopping.  When perusing the shelves of clothes, in many stores I noticed the tribal trend.  I have seen many people wearing different tribal inspired accessories, and have to say that I like it.  I can appreciate when fashion incorporates different cultures.  The bright patterns are also very in for spring; so if you do not like florals, but still want a fun pattern, then tribal is for you!

Good morning!  I so far am enjoying a relaxing weekend with my sister.  I guess I really needed a vacation!  In the fashion world, Elie Tahari showed his Resort line for 2012.  I really like the chic simplicity of the outfits with a middle eastern flair.  I can't write to much now, I have to go have some fun on my vacation!
